The Foreman position in trailer manufacturing is responsible for overseeing the production of trailers, from start to finish. The Foreman is responsible for ensuring that all trailers are manufactured to the highest quality standards and that they are completed on time and within budget. The candidate must be able to effectively manage time and resources, and they must be able to motivate and lead a team of workers. The Foreman must also have a strong understanding of trailer manufacturing processes and safety procedures. Candidate needs to be able to climb stairs, ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, kneel, stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, work with heights and work in cold/hot temperatures. Responsibilities include: • Supervise a team of workers and assign tasks • Coordinate the flow of all work assignments and establish priorities in conjunction with other departments • Promote and work as a Team Member in all situations. Cultivate and maintain a positive, cooperative effort among all Associates • Ensure all work is accurately reported • Ensure work is assigned effectively and completed properly • Anticipate, investigate, and resolve departmental problems and conflicts • Ensure work assignments are carried out in a timely fashion to minimize production loss, and in a manner conducive to everyone's safety • Determine schedules, sequences and assignment of work activities • Inspect trailers for quality and completion • Troubleshoot and resolve production problems • Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment • Assist in conducting physical inventories • Adhere to Company policies and procedures • Maintain a safe working environment and good housekeeping. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards (OSHA, MSDS, etc.) • Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion • Communicate with managers and customers

Under general supervision, guidance and direction, performs a variety of duties including, but not limited to the following: Assist shop personnel with the general assembly of trailers, equipment and other miscellaneous components. Assist the painter in paint preparation, assist shop personnel with cutting steel and preparing other material needed to facilitate shop operations. Other responsibilities include: daily facility maintenance and up keep, loading and unloading trucks, forklift operation, pulling bulk items for order fulfillment, compliance with the company’s safety policies and procedures.
